    Product Description

A transabdominal ultrasound scan (full bladder) to systematically check the detailed fetal anatomy. The scan will identify about 70% of all major structural defects, about 50% of heart defects and sometimes features which may suggest and underlying chromosomal abnormality. We can also optionally exclude vasa praevia where blood vessels overly the internal opening of the cervix and low lying placentas, which can both cause significant bleeding. Fetal gender is optional depending on fetal position.
